With Just Look Up now “in the can,” we started arranging and recording the vocal track on I Can’t Wait. The funky off-beat style for this catchy number was not something Amy had done before, but we sure had fun making it happen!
By the time the song was complete, I had no doubt that Amy could pick up just about any style, given the opportunity. From her sassy solo vocal to the tight backgrounds inspired by classic Manhattan Transfer, I Can’t Wait emerged as a song that will not allow you to sit still!
